Chamolino and the Adept Part 1

The only way to take control of your life, raise your standard of living and move beyond merely surviving is to create your own unique product or service that you offer to increasing numbers of people in exchange for the things of value that you desire. This simple formula applies to countries as well as people. A self-sufficient economy has its own products or services of value to export to the world. Similarly, a self-sufficient individual has something of value to exchange in the global marketplace. That thing of value is based on your natural talent, skill, or interest—in other words, your passion!

The story so far: Chamolino, a seeker of prosperity, has been elected and sent by his people to gain the wisdom of wealth from the Great Adept. After a long and arduous quest, he finds the Adept, sits at his feet and asks his question: “How can we regain prosperity for the people of my island, oh Great One?” We join the story as the Adept replies:

“Now then, you say you want to be prosperous. Well, prosperity is a process. To understand it, you must first understand the underlying principles of every process in the universe.”

“That's why I have come,” Chamolino said.

“Very well. First, in appreciating the flow of life it is wise to know that there is no such thing as something staying the same. The universe, as well as everything within, is either contracting or expanding. Does this make sense?”

Chamolino nodded.

“Here on this physical plane, therefore, as a physical being you too are contracting or expanding-either surviving or succumbing. In order to be prosperous you must first be surviving. In order to survive as a physical being, you must master the physical universe. In order to master the physical universe, you must know its truths. Without truths, life can hold no absolutes.”

“I don't know if I believe in absolutes,” Chamolino said. “There are so many choices out there that it's impossible to say what's right and wrong.”

“The sort of absolutes I'm referring to are not dogma, my friend,” the Adept replied. “These are not rights and wrongs. These are truths that transcend man's perceptions and interpretations. These are truths that surpass all of man's moral constructs. These are truths that don't need you to buy into them in order for them to have their effect. These are truths that operate equally and without bias for Buddhist, Muslim, Hermetic, Taoist, Scientologist, Christian, agnostic and atheist alike.

“There are seven truths that comprise everything you need to know. In their earnest application rests the secret not only to prosperity, but to every other ideal to which one can aspire.

“First is the Truth of Mind which says that all this,” he said, waving his hand, “is a game called make-believe. All that exists in this world is operating entirely within a larger context governed by the laws of the mind. The world is like a picture within a picture. And the larger picture is all a mental construct. The basic operating principle of mind is belief. Unless you start with belief, all else is null and void-nothing else can be created. To achieve any desired end in the pursuit of wealth, therefore, you must first make yourself believe.

“Second is the Truth of Correspondence which states 'as above, so below.' In other words, what is truth above must be truth below. If a principle is true in matters of spirit, then it must be true in matters of flesh; otherwise it is not truth. If it is true for some but not others; if it is true on certain days but not on others; if something claims to be truth but has contradictions, conditions, caveats, catches or a whole bunch of side effects-then it is most likely either a religion or an advertisement for a prescription drug,” he smiled and added, “But it is not an essential truth. Remember this.

“Third is the Truth of Motion which states that everything in the universe is in a state of motion. Everything vibrates. Every object, every action, every thought and every state of being is merely energy in a unique state of vibration. Therefore, everything makes a sound Poverty makes a sound. And so too does wealth. The importance of this shall become clear later.

“Fourth is the Truth of Duality. According to this truth, everything is one thing. Extremes of anything are that same thing. There is always only one thing. Opposites are identical in nature, but different in degree. For example, heat and cold are really the same thing differing only in degree. So too are black and white, love and hate, east and west. Similarly, prosperity and lack are the same thing differing only in degree. In any effort to change a thing, there must be the recognition that the path of change is linear-from one pole of a thing to the other. The path from poverty to prosperity, therefore, is a straight line. This is also good to know.

“Fifth is the Truth of Rhythm which states that all things rise and fall. There is always action and reaction, back and forth, flow and inflow, high tide and low tide in all things that affect the ways and worlds of men.

“Sixth is the Truth of Cause and Effect which states that nothing merely happens. Everything experienced is the direct result of some cause. There are no random circumstances. Cause and effect are ever at work in the universe. There is nothing random. As it relates to prosperity and wealth, your thoughts are cause, your actions are the means and the condition of your people's economy is the effect. You are always at cause for your wealth.

“Seventh is the Truth of Gender which states that there is masculine and feminine in all things. Whenever anything is created, whether on a physical, mental or spiritual plane, the principle of father and mother, God and Nature, seed and womb is always in operation. Creation, generation, regeneration and the secret to creating wealth and prosperity, therefore, all rely on this truth.

“These truths and these alone, comprise the totality of every phenomenon we know to exist and those we don't. These are the truths upon which the entire universe is based. Everything in the universe is based on simple, stable truths. It has to be. If the universe were not based on reliable, predictable truths, then everything would collapse.”

These then are essential truths. And essential truths can be applied to matters of romance, family, relationships, money, and anything else that concerns you. Adepts have used these truths to build pyramids, heal sickness, create wealth and power, foster understanding among men, and change the course of human events.

“Starting tomorrow at dawn, therefore, we shall engage in The Seven Conversations of Prosperity. They have been derived from applying these Seven Essential Truths to matters of wealth. These are the agreements with universal truth that a being must make in order to start the journey towards prosperity. Every answer you seek shall be found within the words of these conversations. Nothing shall be left unanswered. But, you've traveled far to find me. So for now, you should get some rest. Think on these seven truths before you sleep, and make them part of your dreams.”

Chamolino was a little disappointed. He was practically bursting at the seams to receive more information-information his people back home desperately needed.

The Adept, seeing the disappointment and eagerness in his face, smiled and added: “Don't worry, my friend. Remember the Truth of Rhythm. It is time for low tide. Off the light.”
